Co-worker’s car that he drove in today for the first time in months. It’s one of the later 405 hp Z06's. (Probably making closer to 500 now.) Still looks awesome, especially with the HRE’s. Much jealousy.

That looks remarkably like Matt Farah’s C5.

Especially the FRC! I wish I had been able to get one but someone bought it out from under me.

Future classic. The C4 Grand Sport and the C5 Z06 should hold up better than the C6 IMO, but I’m not sure how many people share that opinion.

As in it’s red with dark wheels and a C5? Matt’s wasn’t a Z06 and it was a liftback

I tend to agree.

I definitely prefer th C5 to the C6. Jury still out on the C7. I have a feeling it might be one of those designs that looks really dated in a few years.

That’s SICK!!!

I disagree. I prefer the C6. The ZR1 and Z06 will do well IMO. But like the C5 z06 and I could see the c4 ZR1 increasing the most out of the C4/C5 era

I think the C6 will date poorly with paint matched headlight housings. One man’s opinion.

The LS6 was a special engine too. High revving and the sodium filled exhaust valves and all that, but the C6 has the rear transaxle, C5 doesn’t, correct? I still have a space reserved for one of these once I actually have a garage space for one. They are downright affordable. But I had a first gen CTS-V with the LS6 in it and loved every run up to redline with it. What an engine. So to put it into a car that weighs a bunch less and seats you on the ground... well that just sounds about perfect.

I agree. It already seems somewhat dated and it’s only been off the market like 2 years.

C5 was the first with a transaxle. The C6 and C7 have continued to have one.

Counterpoint: No it hasn’t, but nor has almost everything else that was its contemporaries.

Gotcha. I didn’t remember when they switched to the transaxle. I actually prefer the styling of the C6s, but the C5 holds a special place in my heart, and my future garage.
